Floating Solar Farm
- Rift Valley Roses
How a flower farm is leading the
clean energy revolution.
// Kenya's first Floating Solar System LEARN MORE

Kenya’s first floating solar system has been installed on one of the reservoirs at Rift Valley Roses farm in Naivasha, Kenya. The system has a capacity of 69 kWp and will allow the flower farm to save energy costs and reduce CO2 emissions. The energy produced by the solar system is solely for self-consumption and is not fed back into the grid.

The solar system has been financed by private investors via the crowdinvesting platform ecoligo.investments.
The project was implemented by ecoligo GmbH in cooperation with procurement and installation partners. The dena RES Project Kenia is supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy as part of the Renewable Energy Solutions Programme of the German Energy Solutions Initiative.
